ABOUT THE ARTIST
San Diego based fine artist, Charlene Mosley, was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. She works in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and all kinds of other media. Charlene has studied fine art at Cuyamaca College and San Diego State University. She has participated in various art exhibitions and competitions and has completed several murals. Most recently Charlene worked as a painter- animator in Poland on the first fully- painted full length animation film, called Loving Vincent; by reknowned director Dorota Kobiela and Oscar-winning Hugh Welchman. The film premiere will be at Cannes Film Festival in May 2017. Her latest international group exhibition, Perception, was in Gdansk, Poland. One of her largest painted projects is within the hallways of the newly built Ghoddard Preschool in Carlsbad; a project completed with two fellow artists. Charlene has also painted murals for CREAMnation, the School of Art & Design and the Love Library at San Diego State University. In 2015 she has illustrated a published children's book, Rudy the Longhaired Dachshund and is currently reviewing new stories with authors to illustrate.
